Wat Khun Inthapramun in Inthapramun Subdistrict is a relic from the Sukhothai era, home to a resplendent reclining Buddha image stretching around 50 metres, once housed within an image hall, now standing open to the elements. The image possesses attractive Buddha features with a smiling face attracting respect from devotees. This colossal masterpiece, akin in size to its counterpart in Sing Buri, has drawn the gaze of royalty across era. From the revered footsteps of King Borommakot to the presence of King Rama V and the gracious visitations of King Ram IX for the royal Kathin robes ceremony. Yet, within the area of this sanctuary lies a touching tale of enigma. The multi-purpose hall, reveals the haunting visage of Khun Inthapramun, lying face down with hands and feet tied behind his back, his mortal remains bound in eternal repose, a silent witness to the secrets of the infamous thief buried within the temple’s ancient heart.
