New Power Catamaran Tour: Phang Nga & Phi Phi Islands

Picture yourself on a sleek catamaran cutting through turquoise waters, with only seven other passengers sharing this premium experience. The New Power isn’t your typical tour boat – it’s a proper yacht with WiFi, spacious decks, and that exclusive feel you get when the group stays small. My favorite moment was anchoring at Ko Panak, where the limestone karsts rise dramatically from the water and you can hear nothing but gentle waves lapping the hull. The snorkeling gear is top-notch, and there’s something special about having lunch on deck while floating between islands, watching long-tail boats pass in the distance.

Your day starts with an 8 AM hotel pickup, then it’s off to Chalong Marina for a 9 AM departure that gets you back by 5:30 PM. Faraway Yachting Co. runs a professional operation – you’ll get a proper safety briefing and welcome drink before heading to your first stop at Racha Yai and Racha Noi islands. The captain adjusts the itinerary based on conditions, which means you’re always hitting the best spots. Ko Panak is a highlight with its sea caves and crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling. With just eight people maximum, you never feel rushed, and the crew genuinely cares about giving you a quality experience rather than herding crowds around.

This tour earned its perfect 5.0 rating across 63 reviews because it delivers on the premium promise, but know what you’re paying for – at $1,616.54, it’s positioned as a luxury experience. The easy difficulty rating means most fitness levels can enjoy it, though they don’t recommend it if you have cardiovascular issues. Weather can affect the itinerary, but that’s island life. Book during dry season for the most predictable conditions.

Insider Tip: The tour includes snorkeling equipment and lunch, but you’ll need to budget extra for the National Park fees and bring cash if you want alcoholic beverages onboard.

Safety Tip: While suitable for most fitness levels, this tour isn’t recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health due to water activities and sun exposure.
