This 8-9 hour adventure takes you through the heart of the Phi Phi archipelago, and honestly, it’s one of those days where you feel like you’re island-hopping through a postcard. The speedboat cuts through turquoise waters as you approach Maya Bay, where 100-meter-high cliffs create this incredible natural amphitheater around the beach. Snorkeling at Pileh Lagoon feels almost surreal – the water is so clear you can see tropical fish darting between coral formations below. What really made my day was the final stop at Khai Island, where we had the beach almost to ourselves for swimming and soaking up the sun. The whole experience has this perfect rhythm between active exploration and relaxed beach time.

Your day starts with hotel pickup from Patong, Kata, Karon, or Phuket Town, then coffee and juice at the pier before boarding. With a maximum of 15 people, the group feels intimate without being cramped, and having an English-speaking guide makes all the difference for understanding the history and marine life. The itinerary flows naturally: you’ll explore Ko Phi Phi Le first, spend 30 minutes at the famous Loh Sama Bay, then an hour at Maya Bay before heading to Pileh Lagoon. Lunch happens on Phi Phi Don Island at a beachside restaurant with halal options available. The guide keeps things moving at a comfortable pace, and you’ll also cruise past Viking Cave, built into limestone cliffs where locals harvest bird’s nests.

Insider Tip: Bring a photo of your passport information page – it’s required for the included travel insurance, and forgetting this could delay your departure.

This tour suits anyone comfortable in water, as it’s rated easy difficulty and suitable for all fitness levels. At $66.50 per person, it’s solid value considering lunch, snorkeling gear, and all entrance fees are included. The 4.2/5 rating from 29 reviews reflects the generally positive experience, though keep in mind Maya Bay closes during August and September to protect baby sharks. Book during other months for the full experience, and remember that optional activities like jet skiing cost extra.

Safety Tip: This tour isn’t recommended for pregnant travelers due to the speedboat rides and water activities.

Itinerary

1

Pickup from your hotel and arrive at the Pier area and you’re served coffee, tea and juice before your speed boat departs.

2

Ko Phi Phi Le or Ko Phi Phi Leh is an island of the Phi Phi Archipelago, in the Strait of Malacca. It is in Krabi Province of Thailand and is part of Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park

3

Loh Sama (Sama Bay in Thai) is one of the most famous sites of Koh Phi Phi Leh which, we have to admit, hosts a fair deal of outstanding attractions. Located on the eastern side of the southern tip of the island, it features a small islet in the centre of the bay and a tiny beach at the backside of a small canyon on its northern part. Loh Sama is reputed for its snorkelling and diving opportunities. The famous Maya Bay is separated from it by a limestone cliff, which is pierced by a small hole allowing passage at low tide. A wooden staircase and terrace has been built on the Maya Bay side, offering visitors a great vista over Loh Sama and the islet.

4

Maya Bay is a stunningly beautiful bay that's sheltered by 100-meter-high cliffs on three sides. Inside the bay, there are several beaches, most are small, and some only exist at low tide. The main one is around 200 meters long with silky soft white sand, colorful underwater coral, and exotic fish in clear water; the whole bay is one big reef. Usually Maya Bay is closed during August and September in order to save the baby Shark

5

Pileh Lagoon is a small inlet on the second biggest of the Phi Phi Island archipelago, and actually is separated from Maya Bay (The Beach) by a sheer limestone cliff face. The water inside this beautiful lagoon is of the most crystal clear azure waters you may have ever seen.

6

Arrive at Phi Phi Don Island. Have Buffet Lunch at beachside restaurant (Halal Food available). Free time on Phi Phi Don for exploring.

7

Viking Cave is one of the most notable sites on Koh Phi Phi Leh. Located at the bottom of a tall limestone cliff on the northeastern side of the island, it takes roughly 30 minutes to get there by long-tail boat from Tonsai Bay (the main pier in Phi Phi Islands). Known as Tham Phaya Nak in Thai, Viking Cave owes its name to the paintings found on the eastern southern walls of the cave: they represent various types of boats, including what resembles a Scandinavian drakkar. Entrance inside of the cave is now closed for visitors but we will pass by on our tour.

8

If there is one thing that makes the holidays even more exciting, it is the guarantee that there will be cute animals to play with. Fortunately, that is no problem on Monkey Beach in Koh Phi Phi, where the monkeys live freely. Long-tailed macaque troops own the beach, for real. This location has everything you expect from it: beautiful, warm, and cheeky!

9

End your day on a high note with a visit to Khai Island, a tropical paradise perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the soft sandy beaches. The island's vibrant marine life and coral reefs offer a final chance for underwater exploration before we head back.
