Overview of Trat
Known for gemstone mining and trading, Trat is a small province in Thailand that borders Cambodia with the Khao Banthat mountain range. It has 52 big and small islands that feature long, white, sandy beaches and unspoiled coral reefs. This is a perfect place for beach and nature lovers as well as those who are searching for beautiful sceneries and tranquil hideouts.
You can enjoy island hopping, swimming, snorkeling, and various water activities here. Other activities such as strolling and visiting historical and religious sites can also be done here. You will also find the statue of Prince Chumphon, father of the Thai navy at the Ko Chang Naval Battle Memorial in this province.
